Volunteering

The CAN Help Project partners welcome members of the community who wish to volunteer within our services. Our volunteering opportunities are advertised in partnership with the Volunteer Centre, ran by our partner, Lancaster District CVS.

Alternatively, if you are interested in volunteering with a specific partner organisation, please check the details on their website.  These websites can be found in the partners section.

The Lancaster Centre is part of a network of Volunteering Hubs supported by Lancashire County Council and ONE Lancashire to develop a county wide strategic approach to volunteering support across the whole of Lancashire that gives equal opportunity and a benchmarked volunteering standard in each District.

The Volunteer Centre provides information and advice about local volunteering opportunities. To find out more about local opportunities in the District, see the website www.volunteerlancaster.org.

Anyone that is interested in volunteering, but is not sure what to do – the Volunteer Centre can help. Potential volunteers are able to arrange an appointment at the Volunteer Centre, which is located at The Cornerstone, between 10.00am-3.00pm Monday to Thursday or they can call (01524) 555900 to arrange an appointment. The centre can also be emailed via jane@volunteerlancaster.org.uk.
